Gertrude E. (Nason) Harmon, 87, of White Mountain Camp Road, passed away peacefully Saturday, Nov. 13, 2004, at the Sunbridge Care of North Conway. Gertrude was born May 2, 1917, in Hiram, Maine, the daughter of the late Harold C. and Cora Nason. She had lived in Tamworth for many years while working for several local families as a housekeeper. She was a 1935 graduate of the Pennell Institute.Gertrude was the widow of Chester M. Harmon. She is survived by her daughters, Arlene Anthony and her husband David, and Norma Berry, both of Tamworth; her sons, Robert Harmon and his wife Linda, and Harold Harmon and his wife Rosemary, both of Tamworth; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Phyllis Cocoran of Gray, Maine, and Shirley Crowley of Manchester, as well as a special sister-in-law, Ellie Nason of North Yarmouth, Maine.There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held today, Tuesday, Nov. 16, at 11 a.m. at the Ordination Rock Cemetery in Tamworth.Lord Funeral Home, Moultonville Road, Center Ossipee, is in charge of arrangements.
