JACKSON — There’s something timeless about gathering to hear a story. Long before streaming services, podcasts, or even paperbacks, people came together around fires and hearths to listen to stories that transported them to other times and into other worlds.

That same spirit of connection comes alive through performances and workshops during the Mount Washington Valley Storytelling Festival, on Sept. 19 and 20 at the Whitney Community Center in Jackson.
