The Madison Library and the Cook Memorial Library in Tamworth each has been selected as part of a cohort of 300 libraries participating in Round 3 of Libraries Transforming Communities: Accessible Small and Rural Communities, an American Library Association (ALA) initiative that provides community engagement and accessibility resources to small and rural libraries to help them better serve people with disabilities.

The competitive award comes with grants that will help both libraries work with residents with disabilities on improving access to their library buildings.
