CONWAY — Conway Scenic Railroad kicks off the holiday season with its annual Santa's Holiday Express beginning on Friday of Thanksgiving weekend, then running Saturdays and Sundays only through Dec. 19.

There will be departures to Conway at 11 a.m. and noon from the railroad’s historic station in North Conway Village, and Santa will be on board with a small surprise in his bag for each child. Joining him this year will be Puck and Elvey, two mischievous elves who will be sharing their hot chocolate and cookies with everyone on the train. They'll take pictures, too, so be sure to bring a camera.
