Aaron Wright-Mead of Fryeburg, Maine, passed on June 16, 2005, after a long and brave struggle with a mental illness.Aaron, who would have been 25 on June 26, 2005, was born in North Conway. He leaves behind his father, Peter Mead, and mother, Kelly Wright. Aaron was a member of a blended family and is loved by sisters Sarah Mead, Amy Wright-Mead, Katy Wright-Mead, Leana Dagan, and recently deceased Katelyn Dagan; brothers Justin Mead, Brendan Mead and Doug Dagan; and stepmother Leah Mason. Aaron will also be missed by his grandmother, Lucille Mead of Ilion, N.Y.Aaron was known for his brilliant and active mind. He thrived on learning and excelled in mathematics, science, and history.He attended Fryeburg schools and graduated from Fryeburg Academy in 1998 when he was honored with a special award for his excellence in mathematics.Aaron went on to attend Worcester Polytechnic Institute where he was an electrical engineering major. He had recently been accepted into the physics program at the University of Oregon in Eugene.While Aaron kept close ties with his childhood friend Justin Alden, he created a strong and loyal bond with Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity brother Yakov Kronrod.The love Aaron had for his friends and family was immeasurable. He was a kind and sensitive man who put others first and gave beyond his means. Aaron's illness may have complicated his life, but he fought hard, loved deeply, and laughed always.A memorial celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, June 26, at the Fryeburg Academy dining hall at 2 p.m. People who were touched by his life are invited to bring their memories and a dish to share with everyone who loved him.Arrangements are with Wood Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Fryeburg, Maine.
