The 1785 Inn in Intervale has received the Platinum Plate, the highest possible ranking, from Billy Costa's "TV Diner" show on the New England Cable Network.Costa described The 1785 Inn as "the ultimate in romantic elegance," "brimming in Yankee hospitality," and "an amazing value."The 1785 Inn is also the recipient of the 2006 Golden Fork Award by the Gourmet Diners Society of North Conway.Criteria include professionalism in the field of food service; quality of food; customer service; and hospitality.The 1785 Inn is now featured in the Gourmet Diners Society's electronic dining guide to 2006 Restaurants of Distinction, which can be viewed at www.goldenfork.com. The 1785 Inn has been owned by operated by Charle and Becky Mallar for more than 23 years.
