Due to the sheer volume of foreclosures that have been a part of the real estate market since the housing bubble burst in 2006, the number of bargain hunters buying property has increased dramatically. And while the opportunities abound and may well be worth the effort, my own experience has been that many bargain hunters still fail to anticipate the level of difficulty they ought to expect when pursuing bank-owned properties and short sales.
