If ever there was an indication of a dystopian automotive future it’s embodied in an article I read in the The New York Times and on the Car & Driver website regarding Ferrari.

Yes, the prancing horse has recently invested $200 million Euros in their new E-Building, a facility twice the size of Rome’s Colosseum specifically designed to bring electric and hybrid Ferraris to market. Just writing this makes me feel like I fell down Alice in Wonderland’s rabbit hole. Expected to be introduced for the 4th quarter of 2025, the first Ferrari EV will, obviously, be like no other Ferrari. Details are still sketchy, including price but somewhere north of half a million dollars is not outside the realm of possibility.
