Some remarkable technology is reaching the consumer level in the transportation arena. For some time, we’ve been moving toward automation in driverless cars and pilotless aircraft, and incrementally, these innovations have been implemented with an eye toward safety and social acceptance.

I realize many people will have a hard time reconciling the idea of being hurled through space and time by nothing more than electrons and microchips in control, and I’m not here to convince anyone otherwise, just to show what has already developed and the possibilities that current capabilities are building toward.
