Several years ago, Habitat International changed its annual Women Build Day from Mother’s Day weekend in May to one honoring women around the world on March 8, International Women’s Day.
The problem for the Mount Washington Valley Habitat affiliate was obvious — climatic conditions were not going to allow house construction; road bans alone would preclude site access.
