MADISON — Cormack Construction Management of Madison recognized four employees at its annual Christmas party held at The Snowvillage Inn of Eaton.
Those in attendance roared when Don Lafontaine was announced as the Employee of the Year. A highly skilled carpenter and now small jobs lead man, Lafontaine has been with the company since 1999 and is greatly respected by his colleagues. He was recognized for his proactive problem-solving skills, taking great pride in his work, paying close attention to detail and having a can-do attitude. Company president Gordon Cormack said Lafontaine is a survivor in the face of great challenges, and he is grateful for his hard work.
The President's Award was given to new project manager Pam Clemons-Keith for her willingness to go the extra mile, ability to be a team player, and excellent administrative skills.
Steve Souse, who joined Cormack in July as a project manager, was voted Rookie of The Year for his work to solve problems before they arise and always being accessible to clients and crew.
The Green Award was presented to longtime employee and estimator Jim Rothermel for his conservation efforts within the office. Rothermel has been dedicated to the company for 22 years.
