If you took a poll of 10 different charter brokers as recently as a few years ago and asked for a quote for a trip, you’d likely have gotten 10 different answers and no explanation for the discrepancy. One may have provided you with a $10,000 quote, with 75% of that listed as what the operator is charging and the remaining 25% a markup from the broker. All of it would have been folded into one figure that you never got to see broken down.
