Tamworth Learning Circles, which offers a wide variety of educational programs to students ages 8 to 19 years, has recently become a non-profit organization.To further its mission of providing high-quality educational programs to a small student community without discrimination on financial grounds, the board, headed by Chair Jay Rancourt, and the director and staff intend to offer tuition scholarships for the 2006-2007 academic year. Currently, $10,000 has been donated by private individuals, and local foundations are being approached for assistance.For inquiries concerning donations, or for information about Tamworth Learning Circles and its programs, please call 323-7477. Tamworth Learning Circles maintains a self-imposed maximum of 24 students, and vacancies are limited.
