Rebecca J. Oleson has joined the staff of the Cooper Cargill Chant law firm as an associate. Oleson will focus her practice on real estate development, corporate law, business transactions, estate planning and environmental law. Oleson is a New Hampshire native who began her career as a secondary school teacher. She taught science at the White Mountains Regional High School in Whitefield. She also served in the United States Army for four years, where she was a behavioral science specialist stationed at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas.Oleson earned a bachelor of science degree from Lyndon State College in 1999. She graduated cum laude from Vermont Law School and earned a master of studies in environmental law in 2007. She is a member of both the Carroll County and New Hampshire Bar Associations. Oleson is an active community member, having served as the chairman of the planning board and the emergency medical director in Lancaster. She has also volunteered as a guardian ad litem in the Orange County, Vt. Family Court System.
