Cynthia Foster, director of sales and marketing at the Eagle Mountain House in Jackson, has been appointed by Gov. John Lynch to the states Joint Promotional Program Steering Committee.The Joint Promotional Program provides the opportunity for non-profit promotional groups to develop and execute marketing and advertising campaigns. The program can fund up to 50 percent through the Division of Travel and Tourisms budget as authorized by the state Legislature."It is certainly a privilege to be designated as the lodging representative for the Joint Promotional Program," Foster said. "This appointment affords me an opportunity to share my marketing experience in the decision- making process for the various non-profit travel and tourism association proposals that are submitted to the Joint Promotional Program Steering Committee for funding.The governor noted in his appointment of Foster, New Hampshires tradition of citizen involvement is one of our states most treasured attributes. I deeply appreciate your willingness to serve your fellow citizens.Foster has served in a professional sales capacity in the Mount Washington Valley for several years. In addition to working for the Eagle Mountain House in Jackson, she has worked at both the Mount Washington Hotel in Bretton Woods and at the Red Jacket in North Conway. She has also participated for several years in the New Hampshire Travel Council.
