CONWAY — MWV Supports Recovery and Memorial Hospital’s A New Life Prenatal Program will be hosting evening of acoustic music by Bennett & Perkins on Saturday, Jan. 6. The performance, set up in a house-concert style, will take place in MWV Supports Recovery Endeavor House in Center Conway (just west of the Conway Town Hall).
The evening of music will start off at 6 p.m. with a community potluck dinner of soups, lasagna and other enticing food offerings served up in hand-thrown, handcrafted pottery bowls donated by local potter Jennie Lanoie. Dinner is followed by a concert by folk duo Bennett & Perkins, who tour New England sharing their original music which has been compared to artists ranging from Richard Thompson to Emmy Lou Harris. Often featured on NH Public Radio’s The Folk Show, Bennett & Perkins music combines tight harmonies, compelling storytelling, and master guitar work for an evening to remember.
