The University of New Hampshire, University of Maine-Presque Isle, Roger Williams University and Plymouth State University athletic programs have all benefited from the presence of recent Kennett High School and Fryeburg Academy athletes on their athletic teams, in Thomas Chant of Chocorua, Nick Brown of Madison, Irina Norkin of Lovell, Noah Lautenschlager of North Conway, Mike Welch of Freedom and Kim Bowles of Wonalancet.

At the University of New Hampshire, two former Eagles, Chant and Brown, are having success in track running events. Chant, a senior, is captain of the Wildcat sprinters. He finished seventh in the America East indoor season championships with a time of 7.01 in the 60-meter dash. In the 55-yard dash, he set a personal best of 6.66 at the February 22-23 championships. Chant is currently working through a tweaked muscle and hopes to return to full speed, and to peak at his final outdoor season America East Championships on May 4-5.
