ANTHOLZ, Italy — A member of what is arguably the United States’ most talented biathlon team ever assembled for a Winter Olympics, Center Conway’s Sean Doherty hopes he and his teammates can bring home the nation’s first medal in the sport.

“We are well and truly aware that the U.S. has not won a medal in biathlon,” Doherty, 30, Class of 2013 at Kennett High, said during a team press conference by Zoom on Wednesday. “It would mean the world if we could win a medal at these Games. It would be a tremendous day for us and all of the coaches and people who helped get us here.”
