CONWAY — Despite being one of the younger teams in Division III and not returning a ton of varsity experience, the goals remain the same for the Kennett High boys’ hockey team — get better every day, make a push for the playoffs and try to host a home playoff game.

The Eagles are 0-2-1 to open the season. They fell 4-2 at Division II power Dover (5-0) on Dec. 15; skated to a 2-2 tie at defending state champs Belmont Gilford (1-2-1) on Jan. 2; and fell 5-0 on the road against a veteran John Stark-Hopkinton-Hillsboro (3-0) squad on Monday night.
