CONWAY — The Kennett High baseball team got its first taste of the playoffs in four seasons last spring, and liked it. The Eagles not only have their sights set on post-season play again this year but they’d like to host a home contest.

Kennett is off to a 2-1 start on the diamond and comes into this week sitting in a tie for sixth place in Division II with Bow, Merrimack Valley and Lebanon. The Eagles opened their season with a 14-0 road win against Laconia (0-4) on April 15; went to Berlin (1-3 in Division III) and won 10-0; and fell 6-1 in their home opener against Bow at Coach Robert Burns Sr. Field on Friday.
