BERLIN — The great thing about playing a team twice during the season is you can use the second encounter as a measuring stick to determine how much your team has improved. The Kennett High girls’ soccer team has improved by leaps and bounds since its first match against Berlin on opening day on Sept. 5, when the two longtime rivals played to a 1-1 draw in Gary Millen Stadium.

On Tuesday, in Berlin, the Eagles delivered their most complete performance of the season, leaving the city with a 6-0 victory, netting twice as many goals as they had in their first five matches. The win was also the first for Coach Scott Laine at the helm of the Eagles.
