CONWAY — Better than the record. That’s the way to describe the 2023 Kennett High co-ed golf team which recently closed the book on its season. Although the Eagles finished with a 5-23 record, Coach Ed Bradley saw improvement on the links both mentally and physically from the hometown flock and he’s excited about next year.

A record 35 golfers came out for the KHS golf team this fall, more than doubling in size from 2022 (17 golfers). While the Eagles will lose eight seniors — Nate Lynn, Zach Moore, Aiden Perry, Peter Rogers, Trey Simpson, Catherine Shackford, Kendyl Shackford and Rylie Walker — the bulk of team’s starting lineup remain intact.
