CONWAY — Championship basketball teams are determined by the work and energy that athletes put into the offseason, such as during the summer. Seven members of the Kennett High girls’ basketball team continued to hone their skills and went a perfect 7-0 along the way over the weekend to win the prestigious University of Southern Maine’s Swish Camp Tournament.
Seven Eagles played seven games in extreme heat this weekend,” Coach Larry Meader posted on Facebook. “They went 7-0, including winning the championship game with not much left in the tank. Mental toughness was the phrase of the weekend. The first step towards a successful winter!”
