CONWAY — The second season has begun for the Kennett High ice hockey team and the Eagles look right at home in the playoffs. The defending state champs posted their third straight post-season shutout by disposing of Somersworth-Coe Brown 6-0 in the quarterfinals at the Ham Ice Arena before a good-sized home crowd on Saturday night.

The top-seeded Eagles are back in the Frozen Four, where they are scheduled to meet No. 5 Belmont-Gilford, which upset No. 4 Berlin 3-1 at Notre Dame Arena in Berlin on Saturday night, this Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at Plymouth State University. The weather forecast is not looking favorable at the moment with upwards of a foot of snow being forecast in the latest Nor’Easter.
