CONWAY — Defense was the word of the day on Sunday as the Kennett High girls’ basketball team limited Coe-Brown Northwood Academy to just three second-half points to rally to 26-23 victory and punch its ticket to the finals of the 41st annual Mike Lee Holiday Hoop Bash in Farmington. In three tournament games, Kennett has allowed a total of just 12 points in the second half.
The Eagles (1-2 in Division II) got a measure of revenge with the win, having lost to the Bears just a week earlier in league play. Coe-Brown (2-1) edged KHS 44-37 in Northwood on Dec. 20.
