CAPE ELIZABETH, Maine — A magical season for the Fryeburg Academy girls’ soccer team came to an end in the Class B South quarterfinals last Tuesday. The No. 7 seeded Raiders fell 4-0 on the road to No. 2 Cape Elizabeth.

Fryeburg had marked its return to postseason play in style for the first time in eight years by hosting its first playoff match in Atwood Stadium, defeating No. 10 Gray-New Gloucester 4-2 on Oct. 25.
