CONWAY — “This fall sports season for a number of reasons, is going to be something that I know that I'll remember for the rest of my life — that we were able to have a fall sports season,” said Kennett High Athletic Director Neal Weaver at Fall Sports Awards on Nov. 10.

In cross-country running, coaches Bernie and Eileen Livingston offered three weeks of optional practice to the local harriers in an effort to get ready for the season — if there was one. Practice took on a whole new look to start with temperature checks as athletes arrived along with paperwork to make sure no had been in contact with anyone with COVID-19 symptoms. Once cleared, everyone had their own socially-distanced spot to store their belongings.
