GORHAM — Competitors in a variety of contests tested their strength and endurance in stock saw, log roll, bucksaw, crosscut, Jack and Jill chop, hot saw and ax throw contests during the third annual Jigger Johnson Lumberjack Festival on Sunday, Oct. 1, on Gorham Town Common.
The mild, sunny, early fall day greeted participants and viewers, along with on-site vendors and musicians. The event began at 10 a.m. and continued into the afternoon.
