50th anniversary of Kennett High baseball state championship

CONWAY — The 101st class will graduate from Kennett High School on Saturday at 10 a.m., but June 8 also marks a special day in KHS sports lore. This Saturday marks the 50th anniversary of the Kennett baseball team winning its first state championship. And they did it dramatically.

Members of the championship team were Kevin D'Amico, Paul Luciano, Stoney  Morrell, Danny Quint, Jim Hutchins, Mike Ulitz, Bill Zack, Matt Gile, Brad Thorstensen, Dennis Day, Ron Remick, Barry Buswell, Bill Arnold, Mike Devos, Bob Rizzo and Coach Bob Burns and Assistant Coach Crosby Millman.
