Ham Arena wins Midget 18U tourney in Waterville Valley

Eight young men who played MWV Youth Hockey, five of which played for Kennett High School last season, along with a few friends from Maine and Massachusetts represented the Ham Arena in a Midget 18U tournament coached by Dave Woodbury of the Ham Arena in Waterville Valley last weekend and brought home the gold beating the Maine Wild out of Biddeford 2-1. CONWAY — Ham Ice Arena in Conway Village reopened for its 21st season on Monday, July 29, offering respite from the summer heat.

The non-profit arena has been closed for yearly routine maintenance since April. Crews in recent works have been working on the compressors and painting.
