BRIDGTON, Maine — Bridgton Highlands Country Club kicked off its first tennis tournament of the 2023 season last Sunday, June 25. The Mixed Doubles event was originally scheduled to be held on Saturday but rain pushed it back a day. The draw consisted of a strong playing field of 14 teams.
In the top half of the main draw, the first semifinal was between the team of Jeff Gerhart/Susan DePatie against Arthur Goldsmith/ Megan Goldsmith. Gerhart/DePatie played efficient points, which carried them to a 8-2 victory.
