BRETTON WOODS — Nearly two feet of fresh snow fell over the last week at Bretton Woods, providing near-perfect conditions for the 47th annual Geschmossel Nordic Ski Race on Monday, Jan. 20.

The field of 134 competitors ranged in age from 14 to 85, who skied under sunny skies with the fastest racer completing the 15K cross-country classic course in 33:18. The top three finishers were: Sam Evans-Brown, 33, of Concord in 33:18, followed by Chris Burnham, 27, of Stowe, Vt., in 34:02 and Adam Terko, 30, of Jericho, Vt., in 34:24
