Hiking: Loving when the elements come together

Sometimes, but not too often, elements come together to make a hike exceptionally beautiful. Such was the case last Tuesday when I did a 4.2-mile hike with friend Pam Andruskiewicz and three dogs: Cora, Louie and Georgie.

I often get out once a week with this crew. It is a special day for the dogs to get out on a hike rather than a daily walk. I also appreciate my friend’s love of the wild. A few years ago, she was part of a duo that were twice guests on the PBS show “Windows to the Wild.” They were promoting the popular phenomenon called forest bathing. One show was forest bathing for humans alone, the other was with dogs.
