Another opening day is right around the corner. There are just three weeks to go. I checked out a couple of my favorite ponds the other day and of course they are still frozen over. And if that was not bad enough, snow is in the forecast for the rest of this week.

I am not worried, just yet, as over the last 40 years I can’t remember missing an opening day of trout season. There have been years when it was right darn miserable, but I have never missed one, and this year will be no exception.
