“You better not wake me before 5:30 tomorrow morning,” said the Old Timer. “No reason to get to the pond early to catch stockies.” The Old Timer was way past the days of getting up to have a line in the water one hour before sunrise.

“You just need your beauty sleep,” said Troutman. “I’ll have breakfast ready for you at 5:30. Doughnuts and a big cup of coffee.”
