North Country Angling - Three Bergman bucktails

Three Bergman bucktails that will see fall fishing action. (STEVE ANGERS PHOTO)

The thermometer in the Jeep showed 47 degrees on Wednesday morning. It was the first time that number had been shown since May. After the brutal 95-degree temperatures, it was a welcome relief. It was a sign that fall would soon be here.

Fall fishing for trout and salmon is this angler’s favorite time to fish. The cooler temperatures mean you can worry less about ice in the rod guides. Without wearing insulated pants under the waders. Without putting on and taking off the canoe from the Jeep.
