Last summer, the free-spirited Maryanne Dunfey set out on an excellent solo mountain bike adventure in a camping van that took her through America’s Heartland, Rocky Mountains and eastern Canada.

The trip lasted 38 days and included 42 rides through a diverse network of trail systems that saw her roaming through lands with buffalo, lizards, snakes and other wildlife. She connected with family, new friends and old ones like former valley residents Tony Tulip and Tracy’s daughter, Amanda, and Sally Brassil and Odd-Aage Bersvendsen.
