The nation's unemployment rate hit 8.1 percent in February the highest since late 1983. Since the recession began in December 2007, the economy has lost 4.4 million jobs more than half of those in the past four months. Economists had been hoping the U.S. would begin pulling out of the recession by the third quarter of this year, but optimism is waning. "There's no light at the end of the tunnel," said one. "Job losses were everywhere, and there's no hope for a turnaround any time soon."This week's Tele-Talk question is: When do you think the recession will end?
