This week’s Tele-Talk question sparked well over 100 responses, which seemed fairly evenly split over whether the state should impose a charge for plastic or paper bags or not.

There should be a 10-cent charge for single bag use when you go shopping. All you have to do is go to any local dump and see the amount of plastic that goes into the regular garbage. People are lazy, and they just don't want to bring some kind of bag or canvas bag. Just take a look at all the bags when you go to Walmart and all the stuff going in them; it’s ridiculous. This is Kevin from Jackson.
