With the closing of John H. Fuller Elementary, the school board tasked a committee with helping to rename the two remaining elementary schools in Conway. The top choices were to rebrand Pine Tree, reconfigured as a K-2 school, as Lakeside Primary School, and Conway Elementary, now a third-through-fifth-grade school, as Mountainside Intermediate School. Kennett Middle School, where sixth-graders will join seventh- and eighth-graders, would not be renamed. In addition, the mascots at all Conway schools would be the Eagles.
