There were 45 responses to this week’s Tele-Talk question: “Do you think pupil participation in reciting the Lord’s Prayer should be retained in New Hampshire public schools?” Twenty people spoke against having pupils recite the Lord’s Prayer. Nine people were in favor of it. Seven people offered other comments. A selection of responses is posted below.

No, it absolutely should not. Our country was founded on separation of church and state. If we would do something like that, then we should include prayers from many other religions, and there’s no place for that. And I’m a Christian.
