The Kearsarge Lighting Precinct recently won a rare court victory on short-term rentals, limiting them to owner-occupied properties. Meanwhile, the Conway Planning Board is drafting an ordinance with similar restrictions, but it would grandfather the hundreds of properties already operating as short-term rentals. This distinction could lead to disparities in property values, as revenue-generating short-term rentals are typically worth more.
