Jackson has negotiated a new tuition contract with the Conway School Board that will allow students to attend Fryeburg Academy, a decision Jackson voters will make at Town Meeting in March. The current contract with the sending towns, which expires in 2027, requires them to send 90 percent of their student population to Kennett High. The upshot of Jackson’s new contract is that Conway will get less money if some students go to Fryeburg Academy, as the money from Jackson that would have gone to Conway will go to Fryeburg Academy. Meanwhile, Conway is still negotiating with the other sending towns.

This week’s Tele-Talk question is: Should the Conway School Board allow other towns, like Jackson, to send their students to other schools?
