“The Wall That Heals,” a three-quarter replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, was set up this weekend at American Legion Post 46 on Tasker Hill Road in Conway, bringing back memories and prompting conversations about what remains the most controversial war in modern American history. Veterans remembered friends lost and the hardships of war as well as those of coming home to a country where they often found themselves not welcomed or respected. The aim of the traveling replica is to help heal those wounds.

Back then our soldiers never talked about it much. So now what we can all do for our veterans is just hold their hands and "listen". Patty from Tamworth
