Though President Donald Trump has issued a 90-day pause on most tariffs, the anticipation of increased import costs is already having a ripple effect on the economy. Container ship traffic at U.S. ports is decreasing, and economists predict consumers could face empty store shelves, similar to what occurred during the pandemic. Car dealerships, for example, are seeing increased demand as buyers try to purchase vehicles before prices rise.

This week’s Tele-Talk question is: In anticipation of tariffs on imports, what items are you buying or stocking up on?
