To the editor:

There was a terrible tragedy in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday. Sixty-seven people lost their lives in a collision of two aircraft. The president went on television to express his concern for the victims and their families. He started fine, saying how sorry he was, an investigation would start and there would be a moment of silence.

I agree with you Walter. It was a sad enough event that got turned into another revenge speach with no merit. If I was one of the families or friend of any of the victims I would be totally horrified.

What happened to compassion?
