To the editor:

At the Sept. 16 Conway selectmen's meeting, we were surprised — and frankly disheartened — to see that no other landlords showed up to discuss the town’s proposed rental property permit program. The conversation that unfolded was important and its implications reach far beyond paperwork and fees. It goes directly to how fairly our community treats both tenants and property owners.
