By FAR, animal agriculture is the primary driver of ecocide, vaguely called "Climate change". While attention to carbon/fossil fuels is laudable, it pales compared to the ecological, zoonotic and degenerative diseases caused by the habitual, well marketed, well subsidized consumption of 80 BILLION so called farmed animals, using 40% of earths ice free land, 70% of agricultural crops grown, and the cause of the lungs of the planet, rainforests, to be leveled for cattle and palm production. Waiting for governments, proving their corruption in attending to this crisis decades back, ignoring this dying elephant in the room as media has, will prolong doing the emergency CODE RED needed to stem the rising tides of methane, animal agriculture induced ecocide. Our health, our planet's health, begins on the end of our FORK! Today, we can eat a healthful, non-violent, plant-based diet to reduce and eliminate the primary cause of degeneration of human, environmental health and repair our horrific relationship with highly sentient animals. The industries who raise them for slaughter will have to find other economic means besides those that cause death and suffering to everyone.
