Registration open for Waterford Fall Foliage 5K, Fun Run

WATERFORD — Registration is now open for the 2026 Waterford Fall Foliage 5K! The race and scholarship fund is back in 2026 for its 27th year this October. The public rallied to continue this important community tradition following the closure of Waterford Elementary School last year and initial plans to host the final race in Fall 2025.

Every second Sunday in October, townspeople and visitors gather on the green, watch kids run the 1 Mile Fun Run, and participate in a scenic and challenging 5K to raise scholarship money for the town’s high school graduates. The Waterford-Harrison Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) runs the chili cookoff. Extended families return each year, with participants ranging in age from 0 to 90-something.
