To the editor:

Our state legislature is just one vote away from standing with 16 other states, including every other state in New England, against the oligarchy that has usurped our government. By a vote of 183 - 81, the House recently passed Senate Bill 307, which recognizes the need for a constitutional amendment to reverse the destructive effects of Supreme Court decisions in Citizens United and McCutcheon. The House restored the original intent of this bill after it was emasculated in the Senate by an amendment offered by Senator Jeb Bradley. A vote in the Senate to concur with the House places New Hampshire and its citizens firmly in opposition to rule by the wealthy and powerful.
